The Joss NE 9-Ball Tour made it's way to Classic Billiards in Rochester NY this weekend with a field of 42 players competing for the total purse of $5360.
Chris Orme was just one of the players visiting from north of the border and he took full advantage of his first appearance on tour this season as she cruised relatively untested to the hot-seat match where he defeated Howard Vickery 9-4.
On the one-loss side, Vickery fell victim to another Canadian player as Bob Chaperon eliminated Vickery sending him to the bleachers in third place. This setup an all Canadian finals between Orme and Chaperon, but Orme was too strong in this one. Orme cruised to a dominating 9-2 win in the finals.
Orme pocketed $1460 for first place, while Chaperon took home $1000 for second. Vickery and Bucky Souvanthoung filled out the top four spots.
The Joss NE 9-Ball Tour will be at Snooker's Cafe & Billiards in Providence, RI next weekend for a $3000 added event.
