QUEZON CITY, PHILIPINES---HEAVYWEIGHTS Dennis “Surigao” Orcollo, Antonio “Ga-Ga” Gabica and former AZ Billiards rookie of the year Ronnie "Calamba" Alcano head an elite cast of players competing in the Cue Masters Live starting tonight (February 1, 2006) on National Broadcasting Network or NBN 4.
The three are gold medalists in the 23rd Southeast Asian Games and handled by businessman Perry Mariano, owner of Bugsy's Lair Billiards Hall in Sgt. Esguerra St. Quezon City.
The network in cooperation with the organizing Star Interactive Inc. will cover the duration of the event every Wednesdays and Saturdays from 11:30 p.m to 1:00 a.m.
Also in the field are Asian 9-Ball Tour Singapore leg winner Gandy “Sapsal”Valle, Leonardo “Dodong Dadiangas” Andam, Jeffrey “Jeff Bata” De Luna, Mario “Aklan” Tolentino, Carlo Biado, Victor Arpilleda and Godofredo Ducanes.
The race-to-9 single-round tournament is supported by Star Interactive Inc. headed by it's president Ramon Recto, NBN-4, Games and Amusements Board (GAB) and the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC).
