March 23, 2007 – Portland, TN: Olhausen Billiards has turned the page on another chapter of Olhausen history as Gregg Hovey has stepped down as President of Olhausen Billiard Manufacturing, Inc. to pursue other business interests.
Gregg supervised the move to Tennessee, and has sacrificed a great deal over the past year, while his wife, Leslie, remained in San Diego to continue with her law practice. Gregg has earned some time off and a break from the long days and nights he endured in moving a facility as large as ours across the country to our new home.
As we move forward, Donny Olhausen will be overseeing daily administrative and production operations with the continuing assistance of Mike Hubert and Brian Rosselli, and the rest of our dedicated staff as we settle into our new surroundings. Gregg has agreed to remain available as a consultant to Olhausen for a period of time to assist us in the transition.
Olhausen Billiards is more than the employees inside the four walls of our plant in Tennessee. It is a family consisting of over 200 dealers who introduce us to the public on a daily basis and who insure that the quality and care that we take in the manufacturing of our products continues until the last rack of balls is played by the last owner of what we hope will become a family heirloom. That is what all of us here, and around the world, are striving for each and every day.
Olhausen, now located in Portland, Tennessee, is known for their beautifully hand-crafted pool tables and fine line of matching game room accessories. The Olhausen Authorized Dealer Network extends throughout the United States and the world. Olhausen products are proudly made in the USA and are available in Oak, Maple, Cherry, and a variety of exotic hardwoods, which can be custom-finished to match your décor. Olhausen Billiard Manufacturing, Inc. is celebrating over 30 years in the business and has consistently pursued a tradition of dedication to Quality, Service, Selection, and Value. These attributes have earned the company the title of "The Best in Billiards."
