Magoo's Billiards in Tulsa, Oklahoma is hosting the OB Cues Ladies
9-Ball Tour this weekend. This ladies tournament is the record books -
it's the first Oklahoma Women's State 9-Ball Championship, and the top
eligible player will win a spot at the 2009 U.S. Open.
Thirty five women came to compete and by Saturday evening, only
twelve ladies were left to vie for the Championship title. Buffy Jolie is still on the winner's side and will play Amanda Lampert Sunday
morning. Amanda won a hill-hill match over Tina Hess and Buffy
defeated Lisa Marr 7-5. Tiffany Nelson will play Heather Lloyd on the
winner's side also Sunday morning. Tiffany won 7-6 over Bonnie Plowman
and Heather defeated Terry Petrosino 7-3 for the Sunday spot.
On the one loss side, Bonnie Plowman will play Melissa Little.
Melissa defeated fellow WPBA-pro Janet Atewell 7-6 to last until
Sunday. Terry Petrosino will play Leslie Anne Rogers who defeated
fellow OB Cues Tour player Julie Stephenson 7-1. Lisa Marr will play
Tammie Jones who defeated Susan Petty 7-3. The fourth one-loss side
match will pit Tina Hess against Mona Biddle. Mona defeated Theresa
Wilson 7-3.
The players and fans would like to thank Laura and Jim McDermott
for their awesome hospitality and also to Royce Bunnell and Don Owen,
the sponsors of the OB Cues Ladies 9-Ball Tour, who both made the trip
this weekend to sweat all the action.
