The 2007 Colorado Junior State Championships brought in twenty-six players from all over the Front Range spanning from Pueblo, Colorado Springs, Denver, Greeley, and Boulder.
The two-day event was sponsored and hosted at the Wynkoop Brewing Company in downtown Denver. Day one eliminated 14 players and day two brought back the top 12 players. Late Sunday afternoon, it was female 19-year-old player, Nicole Keeney of Denver who went undefeated to win the championships!
Ernie Martinez donated a special custom cue for the highest finishing 14 and under. When all was said and done it was little DJ Trujillo, last years champion, who won the cue and finished a remarkable 4th place in the tournament.
WPBA's Touring Pro Melissa “The Viper” Little created this special tournament to promote kids playing pool. Her and her sponsors came together and created some unique prizes for the winners.
