Day one is complete at the Second Annual New Jersey State Straight Pool Championship at Comet Billiards in Parsippany, NJ.
Play ended late on Friday night, as the field was narrowed from 31 to 16 players.
In the marquee match of the night on Friday, Tony Robles dominated Niels Feijen. Robles got things started with a run of 36 before Feijen got to the table. Feijen ran 19 in his trip to the table and then was forced to watch as Robles ran 114 and out for the 150-19 win. Robles' run of 114 was the high run of the day on Friday. Robles will face Dan Barouty on Saturday.
Other winners side matches scheduled for Saturday are Jose Garcia vs Steve Lillis, Gene Clegg vs World 9-Ball Champion Thorsten Hohmann and Dick Lane vs Allen Hopkins.
