The Joss NE 9-Ball Tour returned to Raxx Pool Room, Sports Bar & Grill over the May 18th – 19th weekend, where Christoph Neumayer picked up where he left off back in November of last year, and went undefeated for another tour stop win.
Neumayer had bounced back from a hot-seat loss to Jeremy Sossei and won the last Joss NE 9-Ball Tour stop at Raxx over the weekend of November 11th – 12th last year and he didn’t look like he was rusty on this weekend, as he kicked things off with wins over Alex Borukhovich, Mhet Vergara and Sean Morgan on Saturday.
Sunday matches saw back to back 9-5 wins by Neumayer, over Chris Derewonski and Hunter Lombardo, to put Neumayer in the hot-seat.
Neumayer’s opponent in the finals would be Del Sim. After losing to Hunter Lombardo 9-4 late on Saturday, Sim won five close matches on Sunday to get to the finals. Neumayer would remain undefeated though, with a 9-5 win over Sim in the first set of the finals.
Sunday’s second chance tournament saw Henry Cha drop only three racks over five matches as he went undefeated for the tournament win. He defeated Ray Lee for the hot-seat 3-1 and then Lee again in the finals 3-0.
The Joss NE 9-Ball Tour will be back in action over the June 1st – 2nd weekend with a $3000 added ($2500/$500) stop at the Snookers Sports Billiards Bar & Grill in Providence, RI.
