Final day begins with team's quarter-finals
Portoroz, Slovenia: In a classic thriller, Team Netherlands defeated Team Germany with 2:1.
It is a historical event for Team Germany. It will be the first time that they go home from a European Championships without any medal. They have given their Dutch opponents a hard time though. Niels Feijen remained the upper hand with 8:6 over Ralf Souquet in 10-ball. Huidji See creamed Andreas Roschkowsky with 9:6 in 9-ball. At that moment in time, Sebastian Staab was leading 7:4 over Nick van den Berg in 8-Ball. The Dutch team will now meet Team Great Britain in the semi-finals.
In another exciting team match in the men's division, Finland ousted defending Champion Spain with 3:0. Petri Makkonen defeated Francisco Sanchez Ruiz in 8-ball 8:6 and Valteri Virtanen prevailed over Francesco Diaz with 9:3 in 9-ball.
