The Seminole Florida Pro Tour drew a smaller field than normal to The Tap in Gainsville Florida, but the crowd was not disappointed with the top notch 9-ball on display. The list of top players who did not even cash included Mika Immonen, Charlie Williams, Young-Hwa Jeong and David Grossman.
As the players were slowly eliminated, it was 'The Rocket' Rodney Morris who emerged in the hot-seat after a hill-hill win over Donnie Mills. On the one-loss side, Mills eliminated Luis Viera to earn a rematch with Morris in the finals.
Mills got his rematch with Morris, but in the end it was the same result as the quarter final match with Morris earning a 13-10 win this time.
Morris earned $3000 for first place, while Mills settled for $1800. Viera and Robb Saez filled out the top four spots.
The Florida Pro Tour will be at Pro Billiards in Orlando, Florida on October 9-10 for their next stop.
