Rodney Morris has emerged from the one-loss side to defeat Johnny Archer in the finals of the Seminole Pro Tour event at Fiddlestix. Morris had begun the day by being tossed left by Johnny Archer 9-8. Once on the desperate side of the charts he disposed of Darren Appleton 9-8 and Dennis Hatch 9-6 before setting his sights on Earl Strickland. But the mighty Earl gave him little problem as Morris ran through him 9-5 to earn his shot at vengeance and the title in a rematch with his old friend Archer.
Archer had gone through the entire tournament without suffering a loss. That was about to change. Rodney Morris had kept his arm warm playing while Archer had to cool his heels and wait. Rodney never looked back and controlled the table to win the event 11-8 over Archer.
