WPBA stars Helena Thornfeldt and Monica Webb joined the field at the Ladies Spirit Tour's July stop at Amy's Billiards in Stuart, Florida. And as expected, they did not disappoint the fans.
Thornfeldt was taken to the hill by Jessica Barnes in her first match before pulling the match out. Thornfeldt went on to defeat Janis Sessions and DruAnne Batista by a combined scored of 14-1. That led to a show-down with Webb in the 4th round and Webb dominated that match 7-2 to send Thornfeldt to the one loss side.
Webb followed up the win over Thornfeldt with wins over Emily Wilmoth and Jeannie Seaver to take the hot-seat.
On the one loss side, Thornfeldt won five straight matches including a 7-1 win over Simone Hospedales and a 7-1 win over Jeannie Seaver to earn a rematch with Webb in the finals.
The true double elimination finals would require Thornfeldt to defeat Webb twice in the finals, but that would not happen on this day as Webb defeated Thornfeldt 7-4 in the first set.
Webb earned $700 for first and Helena settled for $530. Follow all of the results with our online brackets.
