The New England 9-Ball Series has been quite busy lately with stops on October 7th, October 28th, and November 4th. The October 7th stop was held at Country Cue Billiards in Peabody, Massachusetts, with a total of sixteen of the strongest players in the area. The $500 added event was played on one of the colder Sunday afternoons, so it added an extra incentive to bring the players indoors. The purse included a total of $600 in prize money and a $1000 custom Schuler cue. At the end of the day on Sunday, Mike Minichello and Dave Fernandez ran into each other to battle it out for top honors. Minichello ended up on top winning not only $300 for first, but the $1000 custom Schuler cue as well. Second place ($150) went to Dave Fernandez; third to Henry McPeters ($100); and Frank Teel ($50).
The October 28th event at Busters Billiards in Somersworth, New Hampshire, boasted a $1000 added purse. A total of nineteen players, including Roy Morgridge, Marc Dionne, Chris Leal, Shane Cote, Dave Fernandez, and many more were present. The final placings included Chris Leal in first with a $450 win and a $1000 custom Schuler cue; Shane Cote second ($250); Roy Morgridge third ($100); and David Lemay fourth ($50).
Finally, on November 4th, the tour made their way into Country Club USA in Chelmsford, Massachusetts, for a $500 added event. The field included thirteen players including Mike Nicaloro, Dave Lemay, Shane Cote, Peter Kramer, and Cleiton Rocha. When all was said and done on this warm and sunny Sunday, Shane Cote took home first place winnings of $250 and a custom Schuler cue. Mike Nicaloro placed second ($250) and Cleiton Rocha ended in third ($90).
