The Mezz Pro-Am tour made its way to Main Line Billiards in Frazer, PA on Sunday August 15, with a small but strong field that included such heavyweights as Mike Sigel, Tony Robles, Manny Chau, Mike Miller, Matt Krah and Josh Brothers.
Leading the top half of the bracket was Tony Robes with wins over Shaun Dobson 7-3, Randy Schwager 7-4 and Nick Brucato 7-5. Leading the bottom half of the bracket was Manny Chau with wins over Charlie Marshall 7-3, Matt Krah 7-3, Josh Brothers 7-6 and Chip Klien 7-5.
It was Chau vs Robles for the hot seat and fans got a great hill-hill match that saw Chau come away with the win, sending Robles to the one loss side. On the one loss side, Mike Miller was on a tear after wins over Charlie Marshall, Jay Brotherton, Derek Schwager, Mike Sigel, Nick Brucato and Matt Krah 7-5. Miller didn't even slow down as he rolled over Robles 7-0.
The finals saw Chau face off against a red-hot Mike Miller. The first set of the true double elimination finals saw Miller score a thrilling 7-6 win over Chau and the second set also went Millers way; this time by the final score of 7-5.
