Mike Dechaine and Tom Seminaro
On April 25th-26th, 2009, U.S. 1 Billiards in association with the East Coast Pool Tour, held the 4th Annual “Larry Lisciotti Memorial” 9 Ball Event.
The 47 player event was seeded and featured players of all skill levels. Eight players returned on Sunday including up and coming 13 year old Matt Varney, who finished 5th/6th in his first event.
Pre-tournament favorite Mike Dechaine had his hands full with the short race to seven format, winning 3 “hill-hill” matches against Chuck Altomare, Dan Evans, and Phil Davis. Dechaine faced Tom Seminaro Jr. in the finals. Seminaro jr. coming off a 5 year break gave Dechaine a run for his money winning the first set 7-3. But Dechaine would not be denied winning the 2nd set 7-4.
