The Planet Pool Tour made its way to Champion Billiards Sports Café on Saturday Feb 12th where a strong field of 71 Players came out to play including such notables as Mike Davis, Brett Stottlemyer, Kevin Baily, Bucky Souvanthong, Josh Brothers, Matt Krah, Andy Lincoln, Sean Morgan, Michael Wong and Tommy Kay to name a few.
Leading the top half of the bracket was Mike Davis with wins over Chris Hansen 9-4, Todd Strickland 9-5, Steve Wiggesworth 9-6, Paul Duty 9-4, Alan Duty 9-1, and Ryan McCreesh 9-6. Leading the bottom half of the bracket was Kevin Bailey with wins over Dan Madden 9-5, Ryan Jones 9-6, Matt Krah 9-6, Russ Obaker 9-2, Andy Lincoln 9-5, and Scott Tollefson 9-1.
Playing for the hot seat was Mike Davis vs Kevin Bailey. This was a one sided match with Mike Davis taking control of the match from the start and never looking back on his way to a 9-4 win, sending Kevin Bailey to the one loss side. Waiting for Bailey on the one lost side was Brett Stottlemyer. This was a great match with Stottlemyer pulling off the win 7-5 to get to the finals.
In the finals, it was Brett Stottlemyer vs Mike Davis, Stottlemyer had to beat Davis twice to win the event, but this day belonged to Mike Davis as he won the match 7-4 and the first stop of the Planet Pool.
