The Mid Atlantic 9-Ball Championship is now down to the final four players who will compete on Sunday for the $15,000 first prize.
The winners side sees Philippine Efren Reyes and Young Hwa Jeong from Korea playing for the hot-seat on Sunday while the one loss side consists of American Rodney Morris vs Philippine Francisco Bustamante.
Reyes has dominated opponents all week, only allowing Tony Robles to score more than six games against him in any match.
Jeong, on the other hand, has won close matches since day one when he defeated Tony Rodriguez. His average margin of victory is only three games with his biggest win being an 11-4 win over Neils Feijen.
Morris and Bustamante met up early in round three where Bustamante handed Morris an 11-2 loss. Morris has won seven straight matches on the loss side to set up the rematch with Bustamante on Sunday.
One opponent who scored victories over a number of players was the buffet at a local restaurant. A number of players came up feeling poorly after eating there and one player, Allen Hopkins, was not well enough to continue on in the tournament.
Three lucky youngsters were invited out onto the tournament floor on Saturday for instructional tips from Danny Harriman, Tony Robles, Corey Deuel, Nick Varner and Max Eberle. Definitely an experience that none of the youngsters will soon forget.
