Michael Hansen Wins Back To Back At Stop #3 Of The Mezz LA 9 Ball Series

Stop #3 of the Mezz LA 9 Ball Series at Good Times Billiards started out with a tough field of SoCal pool players, with Michael Hansen (550) taking down his SECOND CONSECUTIVE tournament win in the series! Mike had a great run, defeating Shahdad Zand (600) in a single 8/7 race final.

Mike started the tournament out pretty strong, defeating Mike Adams (641), before taking an early tournament loss in round 2 to Stephen Lamb (596). From the one-loss side, he ramped up quickly and took down Randall “Drunken Master” Suzuki (510), Ken Mand (550), David Newcomb (593), and Tim Traver (559). Finding himself up against Stephen again, Mike was able to avenge his loss and move onto wins against 2 strong Filipino shooters Dexter Villapando (546) and Paul Vinas (550) before making his way to the finals against Shahdad. Mike put on a great show in that final, making great shots, runouts, and devastating safeties against the hot seat winner.

Shahdad had a great tournament as well, tearing through 5 rounds of players to reach the hot seat, defeating Justin Boyd (463), Season Opener winner Joseph Leon (590), DJ Kinnee (585), Stephen Lamb (596), and Paul Vinas (550).
