The Viking Cue 9-Ball Tour was at Bankshot Billiards in Hilliard, OH for an open 8-ball event this weekend with 45 players.
The crowd was pleased to see Dee Adkins make an appearance at the event even though he was playing left handed due to a broken right arm. Adkins won one event but did not cash.
John Maki defeated Dale Eury for the hot-seat 7-4 and Eury took the trip to the one-loss side where Jamie McWorter was waiting. McWorter had lost to Eury earlier on Sunday when he conceded a match at 5-0. Jamie would get his revenge with a 5-3 win this time.
This set up the final match of McWorter and Maki. The first set was over quickly as McWorter won 7-0. The second set was more competitive with the same result, as McWorter won 5-3.
McWorter won $900 for first, while Maki settled for $610 for second. Eury and Hunter Lombardo filled out the top four spots.
The Viking Cue 9-Ball Tour will be at Mr Pockets in Pittsburgh, PA next weekend for their next event and the first of the $5000 added Regional Championships will be held at GameTime / Riptide in Greenville, SC on October 25th - 26th.
