The Planet Pool Tour was in action this weekend at Champions Billiards Cafe in Laurel, MD this weekend and although a different location than the last stop, but it was the same results.
The open division drew 105 players along with Ryan McCreesh who went undefeated to win the stop three weeks ago at Bill & Billies Cues Port in Arnold, MD. McCreesh matched his performance last time, with another undefeated run through the pack this week. McCreesh took the hot-seat with a 9-2 win over Jerry Slivka and then watched Slivka lose 7-5 to Pooky Rasmeloungon.
Pooky had lost to Ryan on Saturday and he wanted nothing more than to complete his comeback with a win over McCreesh in the finals. The finals were close, but Pooky had to settle for second as McCreesh scored the 9-7 victory.
McCreesh earned $1500 for first, while Rasmeloungon pocketed $850 for second. Slivka and Keith McCready filled out the top four spots.
As if a repeat winner in the open division wasn't enough, Malea Haacke also defended her title from 3 weeks ago. Haacke took the hot-seat with a 7-3 win over Amanda Page and then rolled over Page 7-0 in the finals for her second straight tour win.
Haacke won $400 for first, with Page settling for $250 in second place money. Gwen Dickert and Pauline Mattes filled out the top four spots.
The Planet Pool Tour will be at Champion Billiards Café in Rockville, MD on April 24th for the Jim Scrima Benefit Event.
