Keith McCready will face Thorsten Hohmann for the Turning Stone Classic VI hot seat today. McCready took advantage of a costly miss by Mika Immonen to earn his place in the match, while Hohmann dispatched Samuel 'Sparky' Ferrell to earn his spot. McCready trailed Immonen 8-7 when Immonen missed an 8-ball allowing McCready to the table. The players exchanged misses on a tough 8-ball before McCready finished off the rack and then went on the break and run the final rack.
On the one loss side, Jonathan Smith won a close 9-7 match over Danny Basavich. The turning point came in the 15th game when Basavich miscued on an 8-ball and gave Smith ball in hand with two balls on the table. Smith then went on to win the next game and send Basavich to the bleachers in 7th place. Also advancing on the one loss side was Ralf Souquet with a victory over George San Souci.
