The Falcon Cue 9-Ball Tour visited First Break Cafe in Sterling Virginia this weekend with a field of 50 players in their open division.
'The Earthquake' Keith McCready, who wowed the crowds at the US Open in Chesapeake last week, took the hot seat from Jim Henson 9-5 and Henson sent Francisco Bustamante to the one-loss side.
Bustamante was waiting for Henson on the one-loss side and he had revenge in mind. Bustamante beat Henson 7-2 to set up the final match between Bustamante and McCready.
The final match drew the largest crowd to a Falcon Cue Tour yet, where over 100 fans witnessed McCready score the 9-7 win over Bustamante to earn first place.
McCready won $1000 for first, while Bustamante pocketed $650 for second. Henson and Mike Davis filled out the top four spots.
The ladies division saw eighteen players take their shot at stopping Sueyen Rhee's dominance and for a short time, Amanda Smith did just that. Smith defeated 7-5 for the hot-seat. Rhee came back in the end to defeat Smith 7-2 and 7-4 in the finals.
Rhee collected $300, while Smith settled for $210. Tracy Figueroa and Pauline Mattes filled out the top four spots.
