Mike Massey is looking good as he heads into Sunday with a strong 7-5 victory over Rich "The Hat" Geiler in the Pechauer Tour's Pokertropolis.com stop at Dr. Cue Billiards in Shoreline.
The bottom half of the winner's bracket will feature Glenn Atwell (who cashed in on a bounty put on Potier, the current point's leader) against John Doherty and Mike Zimmerman against the only remaining Canandian on the winner's side Brady Gollan. Horsfall, Vidas, Pickering and Ima were all sent packing back across the border sometime Saturday while Tourangeau and Potier hang on by a thread in the loser's bracket.
Tourangeau turned it up a notch shooting lights out Saturday night to beat tour promoter Steve Lingelbach 7-1 and "The Kid" Mike Vidas 7-1 in back to back matches. Harry Platis hung in until the last match Saturday night when he was ousted by Robert Colby; and Glenn Bond of AZ ended Saturday night with a victory over Dan Louie 7-5 offering Bond a much needed night's rest after a 6-match winning streak due to a first round loss against Tom Akin 5-7.
