The time has come again for the Maryland Open 2009 14.1 Straight Pool Championship. This annual event has become a fixture in Maryland over the past few years and have seen such names in attendance as Danny Barouty, Steve Lipsky, Shaun Wilkie, Danny Harriman, Grady Mathews, Mike Davis, Thorsten Hohmann, Jeanette Lee, Bob Maidhof, Mika Immonen, Marty Ciccia, Ed Hodan, Steve Lillis, Ed Deska, and Ryan McCreesh.
For the second year in a row, the event will be held at Big Daddy's Billiards located at 7954 Baltimore Annapolis Boulevard in Glen Burnie, Maryland, hosted by owners, Richard and Cynthia Molineiro, on June 27-28, 2009.
The format will offer a round robin on Saturday, with elimination rounds taking place on Sunday. Top finishers on Saturday will advance to the Sunday finals. The player's meeting and practice begins at 9 a.m. on Saturday. As has been the case in the past, a dress code will be enforced throughout the event.
The entry this year is $250 for pros and “A” players, with “B” players paying only $100. A late fee of $50 will need to be included with your payment after June 10th.
