Thursday, March 31, 2011: In the second European Championship Men's 9-ball semi-final, Mario He (AUT) defeated Francisco Sanchez Ruiz (ESP) 9:7.
Like the other semi-final before, this second semi-final was aired LIVE on Eurosport. And like the earlier encounter, the audience was presented a very tight match between the two players. Mario He seemed to be a bit more comfortable with the setup and adjusted to the TV table better than Francisco. The Spaniard missed some easy shots and played some ineffective safeties. Mario was very focused and at the score of 8:7 in his favour, he broke the balls and pocketed them one after the other, running out the rack. He won 9:7 over Sanchez Ruiz and will now face Nick van den Berg (NED) in the final which will be aired LIVE at 20:00 tonight on Eurosport.
