Manny Chau Takes Down March 7th Monthly Event at Big Daddy’s

The first monthly event held at Big Daddy's Billiards (located at 7954 Baltimore Annapolis Boulevard in Glen Burnie, Maryland) was a success in every sense of the word.  Many of the areas top names made their way to the venue to participate in the March 7th open division ten-ball event including Rick Cager, Ming Ng, Manny Chau, Danny Green, Shawn Toni, Cheryl Squire, Bruce Jones, Tom Lyons, Mark Messersmith, Tommy Kay, and Curtis Branker.  Coming out on top, Manny Chau!

To bring you up to date on how the day played out:  Ricky Cager and Chau played a tough match against each other, but Chau held on for the win.  Cheryl Squire took on Kurt Fleshman, with the match going to the hill where Fleshman prevailed due to a small miscue.  Richard Keefe and Tom Lyons battled it and with a 4-1 lead by Lyons, Keefe kicked into overdrive to bring the match to a double hill finish – Keefe on top.

All the while, Danny Green and Taxi were tangling, sending Green ahead into the next round; Curtis Branker bested Steve Jones; and the Josh Mc Cauley and Bruce Jones match saw Jones pull out ahead.

The hot seat match pitted Manny Chau and Shawn Toni against each other, but in true champ fashion, Chau stuck it to him and had a little down time to wait out his next opponent, which ended up being Toni.

The one-loss side ended with Danny Green settling for fourth after a beat by Richard Keefe.  Suffering the same fate in the next round, Keefe settled for third allowing Toni to take another shot at Chau in the finals.  Second time was not a charm for Toni as Chau held on for the win of this first monthly event at Big Daddy's.
