Thirty four players attended the Ladies Spirit Tour stop at Capone's Billiards and Lounge in Spring Hill, FL this weekend where Tracie Majors lived up to her position as #1 player on the points list and won her second straight event.
Majors dropped a 7-2 match to #2 ranked Jeannie Seaver late on Saturday, but fought her way through the one-loss side. After the victory over Majors, Seaver defeated Maggie Hamilton 7-4 for the hot-seat.
Majors defeated Amanda Green 7-2 and then Hamilton 7-5 on Sunday to set up the double elimination final match between her and Seaver. With the point difference between Majors and Seaver at only 15 points, this final match would not only be for the tournament, but would also be for 1st place on the points list.
Majors won a close match 7-5 to force a second match which was even closer than the first. The set was tied 6-6 when Majors broke and ran the final rack for her second consecutive Ladies Spirit Tour win.
Majors collected $675 for first place, while Seaver pocketed $525 for second. Hamilton and Green filled out the top 4 spots. Although Majors won the tournament, she had already accepted an invitation to the Peoria WPBA stop, so the qualifier went to Seaver for second place.
The Ladies Spirit Tour will be at Pro Billiards in Orlando, FL on June 21-22 for their next stop.
