The inaugural Canadian Women's Pool Tour (CWPT) event was held April 17-18, 2004 at Landmark Billiards, Mississauga. CWPT is a new women's 9-ball tour, organized by Carolina Fernandez, of CFPromotions, Michelle Pinto and sponsored by Bell Custom Cues.
The kick-off event for this WPBA sanctioned tour was sponsored by Labatt Breweries, in addition to the regular tour sponsors: Chalk & Cue, Hallmark Billiards, Inside Pool Magazine and Tiger Products

The event also raised funds for the Multiple Sclerosis Society's Supercities Walkathon, in which Jane Adams, player and CWPT administrator, is an annual participant.
Thirty-seven ladies participated in the CWPT season opener, and many great matches took place during the weekend-long event. After a long and grueling day on Saturday, eight players returned Sunday morning to determine who would be the champion of the tournament.
Jane Adams (races to 4) took the hot-seat with a 4-3 victory over Lynnette Valencia (races to 5). Lynnette moved to the B-Side, and with a 5-2 victory over Alicia Frampton (races to 4), was ready to challenge Jane again for the championship.
With the true double elimination format, Lynnette needed two victories in order to become champion, and with steady nerves, and great skill, she pulled it off!
It was hill -hill and down to the lasts 9 ball. Who would have know the young fierce Lynette would take two wins over Jane (5-2, and 5-3) . The win gave Lynnette a first place finish in this opening CWPT event
There are 7 stops and each stop is a 2-day event with $500.00 added money. The 2nd stop is at Wooden Rack which will be holding the first Qualifier event with a 500 added and a $500.00 US Entry to the WPBA 2005 event.
So Ladies come down and show your stuff!
The tournament total cash prize was at $1675.00 including the $500.00 guaranteed added money.
