The Pechauer SE Open 9-Ball Tour was at Cunningham's Pool & Darts in Vero Beach, Florida on February 28th and March 1st along with fifty eight players across the Open and Semi Pro divisions of play.
The open event came down to tour director Tommy Kennedy and Hunter Lombardo. These two were pretty much having their way with the rest of the field. Late matches on Sunday included Kennedy's 9-1 win over Jim Sandler on the one loss side, Lombardo's 9-1 win over Rich Johnson for the hot-seat and then Kennedy's 9-0 win over Johnson.
The final match was a bit more competitive, with Lombardo coming out as the 11-6 winner. Lombardo pocketed $740 for the win.
The Amateur/Semi Pro division saw Matt Bauries go undefeated for the tournament win. Mauries defeated Trevor Moore 5-2 for the hot-seat and then after Moore lost to Jeff Mabry on the left side of the board 4-3, Mauries defeated Mabry 7-4 for the tournament win.
Mauries' win was worth $465 in prize money, while Mabry settled for $325. Mel Rowe and Bill Morrison tied for best senior finish and split the $25 in bonus money, while Shanna Lewis earned the $25 bonus for top female player.
