Defending Champion and multiple World Ladies Snooker Champion Reanne Evans will be in action this weekend at the Wytech World Ladies Masters event in Derby.
The now traditional curtain raiser to the WLBSA season will once again be held at the North Derbyshire Snooker Centre in Clay Cross. For the first time the event will be streamed live online at Cuesport TV.
Wytech, the sponsors of the event, a midlands based IT Solutions provider, is also adding £10 for the highest break in each round plus a £1 per point overall high-break prize.
For the first time the Wytech Ladies Masters will adopt the ‘Super Sixes' format, trialled at a recent World Snooker Pro Challenge event. Matches up to the 1/4 finals will use the shortened format of the game.
In all 20 players are in the draw for the Wytech Ladies Masters and will be battling for a total of £1100 in prize money. There are four seeded players who enjoy a bye through to the last eight of this event, they are five-time world champion Reanne Evans, Maria Catalano, Emma Bonney and Katie Henrick.
Evans beat Henrick 3-2 in last years final so the Kent based cueist will certainly be looking for revenge.
The tournament starts at 10am on Saturday 12th September and the following day the players will compete again for the Ladies UK Championships title in the same venue.
