In what might have been the most surprising match of the day on Friday, Alex Pagulayan dispatched Efren Reyes with relative ease by the score of 11-3. Pagulayan will face Nick Varner on Saturday. The other winners side matches will feature Mika Immonen vs Jose Parica, Ernesto Dominguez vs Ralf Souquet and Johnny Archer vs Marcus Chamat.
Friday matches on the one-loss side saw the early eliminations of Jeremy Jones, Scott Frost, Luc Salvas, Paul Potier and Dan Wallace.
