Leslie Anne Rogers scored her first win over a top 16 player
The WPBA San Diego Classic got underway on Thursday with few upsets of any kind. That changed early on Friday with Leslie Anne Rogers' dominating 9-0 victory over Ewa Laurance.
The win was Rogers' first win over a top sixteen player and will guarantee her a 17th place finish at the very least. A 17th place finish would be the best of Rogers' WPBA career so far. Rogers will face either Jeanette Lee or Stacy Hurst in her next match.
Another upset on Friday saw Romana Dokovic take advantage of a couple mistakes and upset Ga-Young Kim 9-7. Dokovik will face Melissa Herndon Friday evening.
