It was a beautiful day in Linden, NJ where players came from all over to play in the 10th stop of the Hampton Ridge 9-Ball Tour. The event was being held at PJ's Billiards in Linden, NJ.
Leading the way on the winners side was Phil Sherman and Lee Holt, Phil Sherman defeated Mike Davis 7-6, Lee Holt defeated Luigui Porras 7-4 setting up a battle to see who would get the hot seat.
Mike Davis with one loss had to bear down and work through the one loss side. Mike met up with Matt Krah, Matt gave Mike all he could and came up short Mike won the match 7-4 and Matt Krah had to settle for a 4th place finish.
On the winners side it was Phil Sherman and Lee Holt Battling for the hot seat, this match was one sided with Lee Holt winning the match easily 7-1 and sending Phil to the one loss side where Mike Davis was waiting. Mike Davis jumped into an early lead 5-0 but Phil fought back to bring it to 5-5, at the end Mike edged Phil out 7-5 to get a spot in the finals. Phil Sherman took 3rd place.
In the finals it was Lee Holt Vs Mike Davis, Lee won the first two games before Mike won one. The players went back and forth after 7 racks to score was 4-3 with Lee Holt on top. Mike had a chance to tie the score but missed a straight in 9-ball. Lee took advantage of the situation and made the 9 for the win. Lee at this point had all the confidence in the world and started to pull away, winning 4 of the next 5 racks. Mike made a late run but Lee Holt was a little to much, Lee won the match 9-6.
