Blaze 9 Ball Tour Stop # 9 was hosted by Rockaway Billiards, in Rockaway NJ. Special thanks to Karen & Bob Guerra for hosting the event and to there staff for a job well done. A strong field of 40 player came out to play, player like Santos Sambajon, Al Lapena, Gordon R, Mike Miller, Bristol Bob and Chavez to name a few.
Leading the top half of the bracket was Santos Sambajon with wins over Scott Evens 7-1, Gorden R 7-3, Wali Muhammad 7-6, and Adam Keilar 7-4. Leading the bottom half of the bracket was Bristol Bob with wins over Paul Action 7-1, Jim McManus 7-4, Dave Schutte 7-4, Carmen Lombardo 7-5, and Chavez 7-4.
Playing for the hot seat was Santos Sambajon vs Bristol Bob this was a great match that went back and forth, Santos pulled away late to win the match 7-4 and sending Bristol Bob to the one lost side. Making his was through the one lost side was Al Lapena with wins over Jim McManus 7-0, Bill Horne 7-4, Chris Taormina 7-0, Carmen Lombardo 7-2, Adam Kielar 7-0, Chavez 7-3, and Bristol Bob 7-3 to get to the finals.
In the finals it was Al Lapena Vs Santos Sambajon this was a great match that kept the fans on the edge of there seats when it was all said and done to was Al Lapena with a 9-7 win.
