Day one at the Ladies Spirit Tour Season Finale is complete, and the field has been narrowed to just eight players.
On the winners side, Tracie Hines will face Michell Monk and Yu-Ram Cha will take on Helena Thornfeldt. Monk had quite a day on Saturday. She trailed Diana Minor 6-1 in an early match, but came back to win six straight games and take the match 7-6. Monk went on to defeat Sabra MacArthur-Beahn 7-1 in her next match. Yu-Ram Cha has also been playing some great 9-ball with wins over both Monica Webb and Tiffany Nelson on Saturday.
On the one loss side, Diana Minor will take on Monica Webb and Debbie Schjodt will play Emily Wilmoth.
Before play got underway on Saturday, year end awards were given out. The "Top Pro" award went to Debbie Schjodt, while the "Top Amateur" award went to Stephanie Mitchell. Kelly Coyle won the "Spirit Award" and "Perfect Attendance" honors went to Coyle, Mitchell, Monk, Shanna Lewis and Leslee Davis-Blaikie.
The tournament gets underway Sunday morning at Capones in Spring Hill, Florida and attendance is free for spectators.
