Line Kjoersvik continued her trek to make it back on to the WPBA tour this weekend with a hard fought Ladies Spirit Tour win at Hammerhead Billiards in Holiday, Florida.
Kjoersvik was just one of the top international players in attendance for this event. Other surprise entrants included Jasmin Ouschan, Yu Ram Cha and Shanelle Loraine.
Ouschan and Kjoersvik looked to be on a collision course to meet up in the finals, but tour regular Debbie Schjodt had different plans and derailed Ouschan on Sunday morning with a 7-5 win over Ouschan. The loss was Ouschan's first, and she took the trip to the one loss side to continue her campaign.
Schjodt's celebration for beating Ouschan didn't last long as Kjoersvik score a come from behind 7-5 win over Schjodt in the hot-seat match.
On the one loss side, Ouschan rebounded with a 7-5 win over Korean Yu Ram Cha and then dominated Leslee Davis-Blaikie 7-1 to earn a rematch with Schjodt. The rematch was another dominating 7-1 win for Ouschan.
The true double elimination finals would see Ouschan facing the task of beating Kjoersvik twice in order to win the tournament.
The first set saw Ouschan coast to a 7-2 win, but the tide turned in the second set as Kjoersvik scored a 7-2 win over Ouschan to take first place and the $700 first prize. Kjoersvik also won the qualifier for the WPBA Carolina Classic.
