This weekend's Ladies Spirit Tour stop at Capones Billiards in Springhill Florida saw the return of not one, but two dominating players from last season. Both Sarah Ellerby and Ga-Young Kim made their 2004 season debuts on the tour this weekend.
To no one's surprise, it was Ellerby and Kim playing for the hot-seat on Sunday. Kim came out on top in that match, giving her the luxury of sitting and waiting for an opponent in the finals.
Ellerby took the trip to the one-loss side, a place she in not familiar with after only being there once last season in three events. Ellerby didn't stay on the left siode of the board for long, as she quickly dispatched Debbie Schjodt to earn the re-match with Kim in the finals.
The second match between Ellerby and Kim was even better than the first, with the score tied at 6-6 before Kim won the case game to earn the tournament victory.
Kim earned $725 for first place, while Ellerby settled for $550 in second place prize money. Schjodt and Jeannie Seaver filled out the top four positions.
The Ladies Spirit Tour will be at Pro Billiards in Orlando, FL for their next event on March 20th - 21st.
