The ladies of the WPBA are in action again this week. This time they are at The Sandia Casino in Albuquerque, New Mexico for the WPBA US Open.
The biggest stories of the tournament so far are Kelly Fisher and Melissa Morris. Fisher bounced back from her collapse against Allison Fisher earlier this month and has sent two top players to the one-loss side already. Fisher started with a convincing 9-3 win over Ewa Laurance and followed that up with a 9-7 win over Julie Kelly. The way will not get any easier for Fisher as she takes on Jennifer Chen on Friday night.
Melissa Morris scored a 9-3 win over Sueyen Rhee in the first round, and then stunned Helena Thornfeldt with a 9-4 victory late Thursday. Morris will play Melissa Herndon on Friday.
