This was our very first pass at a new 2-stage format, playing double elimination until the final 16, and then re-drawing for the final 16 player single elimination stage. Instead of paying 8 players in a 32-player double elimination format, we’re paying 16 players in a 48-player 2-stage format. This went a bit later than expected (ended around 1am when we usually end before midnight). A few small changes will be implemented at Stop #3 (February 2nd) to help keep the tournament speedy.
