The 2008 Carolina Open is ten months away but Fast Eddie's in Goldsboro, North Carolina is getting an early start in preparing for its 7th annual event. On December 1st, a qualifier was hosted at Fast Eddie's that was open only to ladies.
The final match saw Karen Webb and Rachel Eliazar battle it out for top honors. Eliazar struck first, establishing a 2-0 lead before Webb tied it at 2 games apiece. Eliazar won the next 3 games and dropped the following 4. Webb made it to the hill first, but Eliazar tied her at 8 and the match went to a final, deciding game. Eliazar locked up the nine-ball in the corner pocket and conceded.
The 2008 Carolina Open will be October 3-12, 2008 and will begin with the season finale of the Jacoby Custom Cues Carolina Tour. Courtesy of Fast Eddie's, every stop on the Jacoby Tour is a qualifier for the Carolina Open.
