Chesterfield Billiards was host to the April 23 - 24, 2004 J. Pechauer Midwest Women's Tour's WPBA Midwest Classic Qualifer. As host room proprietor, Wanda Coates generously provided winner Julia Gabriel with a paid entry into the WPBA's Midwest Classic, scheduled for June 9 - 13, 2004 at Par-A-Dice Casino, in Peoria, Illinois. As Ms. Coates noted about the event, "It was a great time!"
Women from several states - Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Missouri, Oklahoma and Wisconsin - came to compete for the coveted Peoria spot. Two upcoming pool stars, preparing for the BCA Junior Nationals, sisters Allison and Chelsea Hardwick gave the other players a run for their money - despite their tender ages of "almost 12" (Chelsea), and 14 (Allison). Having played for seven years or so, the young ladies proved they are quite competent at 9-ball!
