Cliff Joyner added another title to his collection from this weekend at the BCA National 9-Ball Championships.
Joyner rode the winners side of the open 10-ball event to the hot-seat where he defeated Damian Alishan 7-4. Alishan then lost to Scott Tollefson on the left side of the board to set up the final double elimination match between Joyner and Tollefson.
Tollefson played well to win the first set of the finals, but the second set saw Joyner take his game up a notch and earn the 7-3 win over Tollefson. Joyner collected $900 for first, while Tollefson settled for $600 in second place prize money.
The Ladies Team Division also finished on Saturday and Rebecca Wagner from Chicago Illinois earned her second title of the event. Wagner won the Ladies Singles division earler in the event and teamed up with Laura Bendikas & Jacqui Herrera to win the Ladies Team Division. The three players (known as Poultry Power) swept the round-robin event and earned $1100 for first place. Midway Bar & Grill from Oregon took second place and earned $730 for the team.
The bank pool event was still going on late Saturday night and the Men's Team event will also finish up on Sunday.
