The Memphis BCA 8-ball Vegas Qualifier was held on March 11-13 at High Pockets in Memphis, TN. The BCA sanctioned event was actually a combination of three separate tournaments: Open, Handicap, and Ladies Handicap. All four tournaments used the BCA points system playing a total of ten games. The event had $600 added and was sponsored by Memphis BCA and Professor-Q-Ball.
John Reese (Memphis, TN) dominated an Open field of 24 competitors to take home the first place prize of $500 ($375 travel and $125 entry into the BCA National 8-Ball singles championship). In the Handicap division, Ernie Saxton (Cordova, TN) took home the top prize of $500 by coming from the losers bracket in the 32 player tournament. The Ladies qualifier field of 12 was bested by Stephanie Ravinuthala who took home the first place prize of $400.
