Jesse Bowman wins All American Tour Stop 7

Miller Time Billiards owner, Terry Anderson, congratulates winner, Jesse Bowman

The seventh stop of the 2005/2006 McDermott All American Tour (produced by the American CueSports Alliance - ACS) featured a $500-added purse and fifty-two players, hosted by owner Terry Anderson at Miller Time Billiards in Davenport, Iowa, on Saturday, January 7. The event featured double-elimination 9-ball on bar boxes, and Jesse Bowman of E. Moline, Illinois ran undefeated through the field. In the hot-seat match, Bowman - rated a '6' on a regional handicap system used - clipped Chad Vilmont (Clinton, IA), also rated a '6', 6-4. In the loser's bracket semifinals, Shane Johnson [4] (Davenport, IA) eliminated Tony Wilson [4] (Moline, IL) 4-0. Johnson then eliminated Vilmont 4-3 in the loser's bracket finals to gain another shot at Bowman. Having to defeat Jesse Bowman two sets in the tourney finals, Shane Johnson made things interesting with a 4-2 win in the first set. But the deciding set was all Bowman by a 6-1 margin!

By virtue of Jesse Bowman winning his first Tour stop and being the highest-finishing ACS member, he qualified for a free entry into either the 2006 ACS National 8-Ball Championships or the 2006 ACS National 9-Ball Championships - courtesy of the ACS. Congratulations are also extended to Rob Molina, a spectator at the event who won the raffle for a McDermott Handcrafted Cue and a gift certificate to Miller Time. The ACS wishes to thank sponsors McDermott Handcrafted Cues, Silver Cup Chalk, PJ's Billiard Supply Co. and Samm's Side Pocket Productions for their support in donating 'Value-In-Kind' product for this and all stops on the McDermott All American Tour.
