On the 14th of April, 2010 Jasmin Ouschan was honored for her success in the international sports business, with the "golden medal of services" from the Republic of Austria. This prestigious award was given to her by the governor of Carinthia, who sees the current 4-time European Champion as an ambassador of Carinthia and Austria as well. In the written laudation of the Federal Chancellery of the Republic of Austria the activities of the 24-year old on and besides the pool table were especially highlighted.
Ouschan commented, "When I got the news about this honor, I honestly couldn´t believe it. It is not very usual to get this big recognition in my age and I am the first pool player ever got it. Knowing that my home country supports me in my career makes me really proud!"
