Doug Ennis at Rock City Promotions has released the 2005 schedule for the Jacoby Custom Cues Carolina Tour.
The tour has 6 stops, kicking off at New York Billiards in Raleigh, NC on May 14 - 15 and returning for the season finale August 27 - 28. Other rooms hosting events along the way include Dot's Cue Club in Rocky Mount, NC, June 4 - 5; Fast Eddie's in Goldsboro, NC, June 25 - 26; Sharks-N-Shooters in Rocky Mount July 16 - 17; and Pastime Billiards in Greenville, NC, August 6 - 7.
Each event will be $1000 added (based on full field) and boasts exciting features such as the Ten Dollar Ten Ball Challenge, the Fantastic Five-Man Ring Game and the Big Time Break Contest . In addition, there will be appearances by the Miller Girls , a cue raffle, door prizes and many other special surprises.
Highlighting the tour, the end-of-season Points Champion will be awarded a Grand Prize of a $500 entry into the 2005 US Open 9-Ball Championships held September 19 - 25 in Chesapeake, VA.
When asked what he expects of Rock City's inaugural tour Doug replied "I am amazed at the interest we've had so far. I am going to be really surprised if we don't have a full field at each stop. I solicited the players' input and put together a tour that reflected what they wanted. Everything about the Jacoby Custom Cues Carolina Tour is bigger than your everyday run-of-the-mill tour. Bigger is better. And the room owners that didn't get a stop this year are lining up their dates for next year. Yeah, I'd say things are going great!"
