Usually a tour stop on the NW Women's Pool Association tour is just another notch in Hsin Huang's belt. Huang had won seven of the last eight stops on the tour before this weekend. Make that seven out of nine now.
The venue this month was The Cue Ball in Salem OR and Huang made her usual undefeated run through the winners bracket to the match for the hot-seat, where former WPBA Touring Pro Kerry Impson was waiting. Huang took the win in this match, but Impson was a long way from done at this event.
Impson defeated Cindy Doty on the one-loss side to earn the rematch with Huang, and what a rematch it was. Impson was the first to hill, but it took no time for Huang to even things up and tie the score at 8-8 before Impson scored the final game winner to earn the victory.
Impson pocketed $425 for first, while Huang settled for $275. Doty and Catherine Czarkowski filled out the top four spots.
The NWPA Tour will be at McQ's in Spokane WA on June 19th - 20th for their next stop.
