The Joss NE 9-Ball Tour was back in action on the weekend of November 7-8 at Hippo's House of Billiards in Yorkville, NY. Notable names in the field of 42 players included Tamiko Kumatori, Chris Orme, Victor Conte, Shane Winters, Mike Zuglan, Ron Casanzio, Chance Chin, Dave Grau and multi time winner Dennis Hatch.
While Hatch is a favorite to take down any Joss Tour Stop, Shane Winters had already added two tour stop wins to his resume this season while Hatch only had one win so far in the young season. Hatch would dominate this event on his way to tour win #2.
Hatch cruised through the winners side with little problem until the 4th round when he defeated Angelo Hilton 9-7. That match was followed by a hill-hill win over Chance Chin to set Hatch up against Ron Casanzio for the hot-seat. Two close matches might have gotten Hatch's attention as he crushed Casanzio 9-1 for the hot-seat.
Casanzio won a 9-8 thriller over Chris Orme on the one loss side to earn another shot at Hatch in the finals, but Hatch doesn't make a habit of losing in the finals of Joss Tour events and this weekend was no exception. Hatch won the first set of the double elim finals 9-6 for yet another Joss Tour Win.
Hatch earned $1260 for first, while Casanzio took home $900 for second.
