Huang Returns For NWPA Win

Hsin Huang

The ladies of the Northwest Women's Pool Association were in action at Backstreet Billiards in Boise, ID with a field of 28 players this weekend and the big story was the return of Hsin Huang from Vancouver.

Huang had already won two stops this season and had been away from the tour in Taiwan for the last couple stops. The break from the tour certainly did not affect her game, as she took the hot-seat with a 7-4 win over fellow Canadian Trish Lee on Sunday.

Lee then lost to Martha Hartsell in the semi-final match. Hartsell had lost to Huang hill-hill on Saturday and was looking for a little revenge in the finals. That revenge was not to happen this weekend, as Huang dominated the final match and won 9-1.

Huang pocketed $425 for first place as well as a qualifier for a 2005 WPBA event. Hartsell settled for $275. Lee and Deby Welfringer filled out the top four spots. AzBilliards columnist Kerry Impson finished in 7th.

The NWPA Tour will be at The Breaking Point in Lynnwood Washington on November 20-21 for their season finale.
