Dragon Promotions is pleased to announce the Official Host of the World Straight Pool Championships is the very elegant Hilton Hotel in East Brunswick, New Jersey. The dates of the World 14.1 Championships will be May 30-June 4,2006. The Hilton East Brunswick is only 30 minutes from New York City and has easy transportation for fans to and from NYC. The Hilton is also only 20 minutes from Newark Airport and close to great activites such as Six Flags.

Plus the fans will be treated to a great show and we always felt that the World 14.1 Championships belonged in a prestigious venue and the Hilton certainly meets our standards." said DP President Cindy Lee
The main pro event which will feature 64 of the world's best players including 14 qualifiers and the strongest contingent of foreign players ever to compete for a World 14.1 title. Players from Germany, France, Holland, Japan, Taiwan, Korea, Japan, and South America will be represented at the event. Super stars such as Thorsten Hohmann, Johnny Archer, Mika Immonen, Corey Deuel, Allen Hopkins, and Nick Varner among many more are also scheduled to play.
In conjunction with the main pro event, there will be a large amateur open event with a men and womens division. 1st place will be guaranteed minimum of $5000 for the men's division. No pros, semi-pros, or top amateurs will be allowed to play. for more info contact dpamateurevents@gmail.com
