The WPBA Cuetec Cues Midwest Classic is underway at the Par-A-Dice Hotel & Casino in East Peoria IL, and the theme for day one appears to have been 'hill-hill upsets'.
Sueyen Rhee got the list of upsets going in the first round, with her hill-hill win over #15 Melissa Herndon. Rhee went on to defeat Alice Rim 9-8 in her next match.
Round two on the winners side had three hill-hill upsets, as Melissa Little defeated Ewa Laurence, Ikumi Ushiroda defeated Gerda Hofstatter and Sarah Rousey defeated Jeanette Lee. Lee eliminated Rousey on the one-loss side at the WPBA Delta Classic back in March, but Rousey got her revenge this time in Illinois.
